Huge Increase In The Sales Of Automobiles

NEW DELHI: SIAM (Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers) provided some statistics which reveals that the total domestic passenger car sales for the financial year which ended in March reached upto 25 percent to 1.53 million units from the previous 12-month period.

The sale of Domestic car for the month of March rose 20.05 per cent to 155, 600 units from a year. On the other hand the sale of motorcycle for the month climbed 35.7 per cent to 708,349. This was said by the society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers. The demand is increased because of cheap financing and the launch of new model. Government stimulus packages to help the industry are also one of the greatest factor in increasing the overall growth and development. The huge sale of vehicle is due to the young population, which has got great craze for automobiles especially motor bike.

Pawan Goenka the president of the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) expresses his view that “exceptionally high” growth of the last fiscal year could be attributed to the low base figure for the previous year. It was the time period during which India and the rest of the world were under the grip by the economic downturn.

The total sales of the vehicle in March climbed upto 1.23 million units. This was up by 37.23 per cent from a year earlier. Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers further asserted that the sale commercial vehicle is a key barometer of economic activity. This was soared in March by 61.16 per cent to 67,362 units.

New Start Treaty – US And Russia Agreed To Cut Down The Number Of Their Nuclear Piles

MOSCOW:To cut nuclear arms “New Start Treaty” was signed on Thursday by US President Barack Obama and his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev. They will reduce their nuclear arsenals upto 1,550 warheads over coming seven years. It is about third less than 2,200 currently allowed. The signing has symbolised a great cooperation and mutual mature understanding between Moscow and Washington.

The signing has symbolised great level of cooperation two great nations. They have got great history, culture and civilization of their own. The agreement has been signed for the sake of global security. The new cut in the largest arsenals on the planet is a great step towards creating a world without nuclear weapons. It is a signal towards the world that there is no need for it.

The two Presidents put their names into the history, in a lavish chamber within the Czech capital’s presidential castle complex. It is the similar place historic speech of Barrack Obama was delivered, where he expressed his desire for a world without nuclear bombs. Home Minister Took The Full Responsibility Of The Brutal Massacre At Dantewada

NEW DELHI: Home Minister P Chidambaram took the full responsibility of the massacre of CRPF contingent by Nexalites. After returning from Chhattisgarh on Wednesday, where 75 CRPF men were brutally massacred in Dantewada by Nexal strike. Chidambaram had given it in writing to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh that “I accept full responsibility for the brutal massacre of CRPF personnel”.

Remembering the martyrs, Chidambaram asserted that nation will never forget their supreme sacrifice. He was very touched to see the intensity of blood bath at Dantewada. He said that we honour the valour of our CRPF men. He said our CRPF is more than reserve force and I am proud of the innumerable duties the CRPF is called upon to perform from time to time. Chidambaram said, “I salute all those who laid down their lives and my heart goes out to their families”.

Over the sacrifices of the paramilitary forces, he said that government will do his level best to ensure that personnel from it were well paid, well –  equipped and well-housed. The government will put his all effort for the welfare of their respective family. He also asserted that his Ministry will look after the compensation provided to the families of jawans. The compensation is supposed to reach at their doorstep at the end of this month.

The government will also ensure that one person from the every family of the died CRPF met gets the job. Home Minister said that government will also stand by security forces because they perform their duties so that people could live in liberty, democracy and freedom.

Alarming Rise In Food Inflation

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Thursday set up three working groups of chief ministers to review the shooting prices of agri commodities to ensure effective nationwide distribution of food grains. The decision of constructing the working groups was taken after about a four-hour long marathon meeting of the core committee.

It comprises of Planning Commission Deputy Chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia, senior Cabinet ministers and ten chief ministers comprising from different states. Dr. Manmohan Singh chaired the meeting. The food inflation touched the mark of 17.70 per cent. It was seen that centre and state were blaming each other for the rise in food inflation. Therefore centre has decided to involve the states in dealing with the price situation.

Sharad Pawar Agriculture and food minister, after the marathon meeting, briefed the media personnel’s. The first working group of agriculture production will be headed by Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda. In this group other members are chief minister from Punjab, West Bengal and Chief Minister from Bihar. The working group of consumer affairs will be headed by Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.

It will have Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh chief ministers as its members. The third and final working group on food and public distribution will be headed by Montek Singh Ahluwalia and it will comprises of chief minister from Assam, Chhattisgarh and chairman of PMEAC (Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council) C Rangarajan as members of this working group. The working groups are asked to submit their report in two months.
